LUMUMBA T-SHIRT DESIGN

I was born and raised in Congo, I grew up hearing the name Patrice Lumumba without truly understanding who he was. I understood later.

This year, after watching the documentary Soundtrack to a Coup d’État, a powerful film exploring how jazz became a political tool during a pivotal moment in Congolese history, I was deeply inspired by Lumumba story.

This piece is my response:

a tribute, a way of saying thank you, and a way of telling his story in my own way.
